If you can’t attend our next citizenship day, don’t worry! You can receive the same assistance at little to no cost at a nonprofit immigration services provider – find one near you here, and make an appointment. Or, you can contact a trusted immigration attorney near you. We also recommend CitizenshipWorks, a safe, free online tool that helps you begin filling out the application for citizenship yourself. If you are not in Washington state, members of the New Americans Campaign organize similar events beyond the Washington area.
Citizenship Day is a FREE, day-long workshop where volunteer immigration attorneys, paralegals, and interpreters come together to provide assistance with citizenship applications. All lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders) interested in applying for U.S. citizenship are welcome to participate.
The Washington New Americans Program is a partnership between OneAmerica and the Washington State Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Since the program began in 2008, we have held workshops across Washington State, including Aberdeen, Bellingham, Bremerton, Centralia, Des Moines, Mount Vernon, Moses Lake, Olympia, Pasco, Port Angeles, Renton, SeaTac, Seattle, Spokane, Sunnyside, Tacoma, Tukwila, Vancouver, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, White Center, and Yakima, and helped more than 3,000 people apply for citizenship.
